The 2020-2021 Nationals were eventually able to be held at the Salt Resort at Kingscliff NSW fromthe 4th to the 7th June. A fantastic event with over 40 cars in attendance only marred by the last minute lockdown of Melbourne in yet another COVID-blow to our fellow Victorian Sporty enthusiasts and hence the non-attendance of the Melbourne cars.
There were competitors in every category and some clear winners amongst them. Congratulations to all the winners especially the 'Best in Show' winner Stephan Boardman, but there is no doubt that the most inspiring turn-up and result was the People's Choice Award and Best SR311 of Richard Shinkfield, whose car was the subject of a gargantuan effort and pheonix re-birth literally from the flames as you will see below from some extra 'before' shots include below!
Congratulations to all attendees for making it such a great Nationals event and to the Committee Organisers for the smooth running organisation.
We can all look forward to the next Nationals and cross all fingers and toes as a Nation, we will have sorted the ongoing COVID situation by then so it doesnt impact the event in the same way again.
